A hydrogel is a water-rich polymer material. SENCE supplies the hydrogel with built-in protein-binding chemistry, ready for your selected extracellular matrix (ECM) coating, cells and medium.

SENCE supplies an engineered, water-rich hydrogel surface with built-in protein-binding chemistry, in a plate or on a coverslip.

The hydrogel defines the mechanical setting and anchors your selected extracellular matrix (ECM). Stiffness describes resistance to deformation.

THE RESEARCHER ADDS

Choose your ECM. Anchor it to the gel.

You apply your selected ECM protein coating. The hydrogel’s binding chemistry anchors the coating to the gel, creating the protein interface your cells encounter.

The supplied hydrogel and binding chemistry are ready. Your ECM choice shapes the biological interface; confirm preparation for your assay.

Add your cells and culture medium, then measure the response relevant to your experiment.

THE MECHANICAL SETTING

Stiffness describes resistance to deformation.

Choose the mechanical setting in kilopascals (kPa), while controlling ECM type and attachment. Decoupling these variables helps you distinguish a stiffness effect from a change in the matrix interface.

Available across the well-plate and coverslip range. Choose a setting around your experimental question; no stiffness is automatically recommended for a particular cell type.

Tell us what you use. Preparation and compatibility need to be checked in your intended workflow; they should not be assumed from the format alone.

What is confirmed before ordering?

The configuration, lead time, preparation instructions, pricing and support. A quote request is an enquiry, not an order.

What should I consider for animal-free cell culture?

Consider the complete workflow: the supplied hydrogel surface, your chosen ECM coating, medium and other reagents. Discuss your material-origin requirements with us when planning an evaluation.
